Magnesium affects the conduction of nerve impulses and muscle contraction. Shortages of Magnesium have been shown as a causal agent for some types of Tremors. Magnesium helps to reduce the influx of excess Calcium ions into the neurons, which can be toxic. The excess Calcium ion influx can be caused by an overproduction of glutamate in the brain. As laboratory tests have shown that oxaloacetate reduces brain glutamate levels, we recommend that magnesium supplementation be combined with oxaloacetate (Tremor Stop) supplementation.
